Uses

Pemetrexed Injection is prescribed to treat cancer of head and neck, ovary, cervix area, breast, testicule, blood, bone, lung and urinary tract. It is also recommended for patients of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL).

How it works

Formulation of this injection affects the functioning of RNA and DNA of cancer cells by providing substitute of their building blocks. As its result, groth of cancerous cells is hindered.

Common side effects

Vomiting, nausea, hair loss, fatigue, rash, decreased blood platelets, anemia, fatigue, stomatitis (inflammation of the mouth), pharyngitis, neuropathy, decrease in blood cell counts, diarrhea.
