Product Description

Used for the treatment of hepatitis C, Natdac tablets are used as a part of combination therapy that consists of various other antiviral drugs. The drug is not very effective by itself and is thus not used for monotherapy. Caused by the Hepatitis C virus in the liver, the disease can be carried around the body in the blood. Infection can be spread by direct contact with blood products and blood including unsterilised needles, tattoo machines, etc. When used in combination with other antiviral medications, 60mg of Natdac tablets can significantly reduce the levels of virus in the patients blood and even lead to complete recovery.

The drug contains daclatasvir, which is an antiviral agent that acts directly and is used in combination with sofosbuvir which is another antiviral drug. Daclatasvir is used to inhibit NS5A protein that is viral specific and is vital for the replication of HCV RNA. The drug is highly effective when used in low doses. Furthermore, the drug is also used in the treatment of liver cirrhosis in combination with sofosbuvir and daclarasvir.

The common side effects of using the drug include nausea, headaches, skin rash, joint pains and fatigue. Natdac 60 should not be used if the patient is allergic to any ingredient present in the drug, breast-feeding or pregnant, suffers from liver or kidney disease (with the exception of hepatitis C), are consuming drugs that interact with Natdac 60 including antibacterial rifampicin,  antiarrhythmic amiodarone, carbamazepine, phenytoin, digoxin,  atazanavir,  rosuvastatin. The drug should not be taken by people suffering from high cholesterol levels and St. Johns Wort.
