Atropine Sulphate Injection is an alkaloid which is administered via intravenous route that is indicated for treatment of nerve agents & pesticide poisoning. It is considered as competitive antagonist of muscarinic acetylcholine receptor and also shows anticholinergic activity. This injection has bioavailability of about 25% with onset of action right after a minute. With elimination half life of about 2 hours, it gets excreted in urine without any change. Atropine Sulphate Injection belongs to antimuscarinic class of drugs with high effectiveness and targeted mode of action. Active compound of this injection has chemical formula C34H48N2O10S with molecular weight of 676.822 g/mol.

How it works : Atropine sulphate 6mg injection belongs to class of medication called as anticholinergic drugs. It acts by blocking the activity chemicals (acetylcholine) in the body, thereby producing effects such as reduction of salivary and other body secretions, relief of abdominal pain due to cramps, increase in the heart rate, and widening of the pupil.
