Temozolomide Capsule is chemotherapy medicine which is known to be an alkylating agent and is prescribed for treatment of brain cancers & glioblastoma multiforme. It is an oral chemotherapy agent that has only 1.8 hours of elimination half life with protein binding ability of 15%. This capsule works by alkylating DNA at N-7 or O-6 position crosslink DNA and kill tumor cells. It is also indicated as second-line treatment for astrocytoma. Main compound of Temozolomide Capsule has chemical formula C6H6N6O2 with molar mass of 194.151 g/mol and is appreciated for having targeted mode of action.
